PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - On Saturday, April 10, 2010, the Drexel University Women's Soccer team and coaching staff served as coaches and mentors in the free 2010 City 6 Clinic for youth female soccer players at St. Joe's University.  City 6 Women's Soccer is comprised of the six NCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Programs in the Philadelphia Area, including Drexel, LaSalle, Penn, St. Joes, Temple, Villanova.

Young soccer players from all over the greater Philadelphia region learned basic and advanced soccer skills from some of the top women's college soccer players in the area.  The children practiced fundamental soccer activities such as juggling, passing and receiving, dribbling and shooting and were encouraged and instructed by the college soccer players themselves.  The clinic was provided free of charge to nearly fifty attendees and all the women's college soccer teams enjoyed volunteering their time and talents to help the young players improve their individual soccer skills.  The college teams also played spring scrimmage games against one another, providing the younger players with an opportunity to see high level women's soccer programs compete.

The event is held annually each spring and the Drexel Women's Soccer program expects to be able to participate next year.
