NEWARK, Del.  -- The University of Delaware women's soccer coaching staff is hosting a clinic for goalkeepers and field players on Saturday, Feb. 20 at the UD athletics complex.

The pre-season clinic will assist girls in getting prepared for the upcoming season and will include drills specific to all positions as well as individual and team tactical play. Athletes will be supervised by experienced coaches and will learn what is needed to advance to the next level.

The clinic will be held on the FieldTurf field behind Delaware Field House if weather permits. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside Delaware Field House.

The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 noon with registration set for 8:30 a.m. at the Delaware Field House.  Registration by mail expired on Feb. 12 but walk-up registration is available the day of the event.

The clinic fee is $50 (cash only day of the event).

The clinic will be directed by University of Delaware women's soccer head coach Scott Grzenda along with UD assistant coaches Ginna Lewing and Brian Sprinkle and members of the Blue Hen squad.

Athletes should bring their own equipment, including indoor and turf shoes, indoor and outdoor clothing, water and snacks.
