TOWSON, Md. -- The men's and women's basketball teams took time out their normal preparation schedule to run a basketball clinic for area kids last Friday evening.

While most days before a big conference home game are filled with scouting reports and video breakdown, the Towson basketball teams exchanged playing tips and laughter with over 100 area kids in a free basketball clinic.

With members of both coaching staffs and players on the court, local kids received a free skills clinic on the fundamentals of basketball. The first 100 kids received a free t-shirt and everyone in attendance was given a voucher for a discounted ticket to the weekend games.

Each kid spent time on the court getting instruction from a player or coach in a fun-filled atmosphere in the Towson Center arena. Basketball skill level was unimportant, as it was an informal session going over the basics of what makes a good boys or girls basketball player.

From rebounding to lay-ups, dribbling to shooting free throws, the one hour clinic offered a little something for everyone. With a little help... one clinic member even threw down a dunk.

For future clinic or camp information check the basketball promotions page or the individual camp pages periodically during the season.
