For the past five years, the Drexel Women's Field Hockey Team has organized a contingency of Dragon participants for the Susan B. Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure®. Drexel's team is comprised mostly of women's field hockey players plus parents, siblings, other Drexel staff, and friends of the program.

The photos are from the race on Sunday May 10, 2009 Mother's Day in Philadelphia, starting at Art Museum. Many Mother's and relatives of field hockey team members have been touched by this disease; therefore it has become a very personal cause.

The 5k race raises funds to support the fight against breast cancer. The team will tell you, it is a great event and a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's Day with our mom's!

Plans are underway to continue this tradition in Spring 2010!
