ATLANTA, Ga. - The Georgia State men's and women's tennis programs put on a community service event at Piedmont Park Friday night.

With the spring season fast approaching for the Georgia State men's and women's tennis programs both coaches decided to put on a community service event at Piedmont Park Friday night.

This community service event gave fans a chance to meet the Georgia State men's and women's teams. The fans also got a chance to learn more about both the tennis programs at Georgia State.

"The event tonight gave us an excellent opportunity to get out into the community. Piedmont Park is the home of GSU tennis and our hope is that members of the tennis community will come out and support both tennis programs. Tonight's event was a big success, said first-year Head Coach Chase Hodges."

The Georgia State women's team is coming off a banner year for the program winning its first CAA Championship under the direction of Head Coach Miha Lisac. Also the women's team is returning CAA player of the year and freshman of the year Diana Nakic.

Both programs are looking for success in the upcoming spring season beginning in late January.
