FAIRFAX, Va. (October 30, 2009) – On Wednesday evening, the George Mason women’s lacrosse team celebrated Halloween by taking a group of youths from the Boys and Girls Club of Fairfax County trick-or-treating.

The experience proved to be a positive one for the team and especially for the boys and girls, who normally would not get a chance to go trick-or-treating.

The youth visited Potomac Heights Residence Hall on the Fairfax campus of George Mason University, where the residents dressed up in costumes and handed out candy to the boys and girls as they went door-to-door.

Members of the Patriots’ women’s lacrosse team dressed up in Halloween outfits and walked around the halls with the kids as they went trick-or-treating. The players also decorated the doors to their suites and hallway.

Mason’s women’s lacrosse team plans on participating in at least two more community service events during the month of November.
