TOWSON - In continuing the Go Green Campaign encouraging fans to make sure they recycle at Towson events, this year Towson athletes are getting out to spread the word in the parking lots prior to football games.

Each home football game coaches and student-athletes comb the tailgating lots to encourage recycling.

The athletes have a desire to pass out blue plastic bags while educating guests on the RecycAll program. The process ends with a collection of blue bags to be dropped in a central location, facilitating Aramark’s cleanup duty.

Student-athletes wear their game-day shirts and work in tandems to promote recycling and achieve community service while promoting their respected sports.

So far this season, men’s lacrosse, women’s soccer and men’s basketball have been among the teams to participate.
