WILMINGTON, N.C. – Several members of the UNC Wilmington men’s basketball helped to raise $30,000 for the American Liver Foundation over the weekend by taking part in the annual “Joey Jog” at Harbor United Methodist Church.

“Joey Jog” was created three years ago by Leslie Heppner after her daughter, Josephine, died in December of 2006 at age 2 of acute liver failure.

Head Coach Benny Moss and nine players got the jog started and offered their support for a great cause. Players who participated included Jeremy Basnight, Trevor Deloach, John Fields, Ahmad Grant, Dominique Lacy, Daniel Mercer, Will Ohuaregbe, Keith Rendleman and Matt Wilson.
