Director of Football Operations & Communications

Reports to: Associate Commissioner of Integrated Digital Strategies

Communication Management
-- Serve as primary contact for all aspects of CAA Football public and media relations.
-- Develop communications content and strategize distribution models pertaining to the content across CAA Football’s online community, including but not limited to and
-- Monitor, moderate, engage and interact the league’s fan base using the CAA Football’s social media outlets.
-- Develop and promote storylines of interest relating to the conference as well as individual football student-athletes.
-- Create all conference and NCAA statistical reports for football, while maintaining permanent historical records for the conference.
-- Assist video production personnel in the creation of video content for both and
-- Coordinate and host the weekly CAA Football Coaches media teleconference.
-- Promote student-athletes and coaches for postseason football honors.
-- Act as the conference’s ambassador for football with all applicable constituencies and promote the football-related accomplishments of CAA Football.

Operations Management
-- Manage all aspects of the annual CAA Football Kickoff event.
-- Assist the Associate Commissioner/Broadcast Services with production elements for game telecasts.
-- Assist in television schedule discussions with the league’s broadcast partners.
-- Design, write, and edit various CAA Football publications, including but not limited to the CAA Football Preview, CAA Football Record Book, CAA Football Handbook, and the CAA Football Gameday Management Manual.
-- Manage all branding materials for CAA Football (ordering, distribution and inventory) to include CAA Football/NCAA co-branded team and game day staff equipment/apparel.
-- Develop strategies and opportunities to maximize the institutional and conference resource commitment for football.
-- Develop strategies to enhance the student-athlete experience for our football student-athletes.
-- Assist the Commissioner and Associate Commissioner of Integrated Digital Strategies with all aspects of CAA Football to include the CAA Annual Football meeting.
-- React to changes, recommend improvements and implement new initiatives for CAA Football with minimal direction. 

Minimum requirement of a B.S. or B.A. in Communications, Public Relations or Media related field.

-- Minimum five years combined experience in sports media relations, advanced media (online/social/digital) and game day/event management (preferably in football).
-- Possess the ability to balance the informal side of social media with the formal nature of business.
-- Stay abreast of developments within the communications field as it relates to new technologies.
-- Possess an outgoing personality stressing innovation and creativity.
-- Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills. The ability to influence others with innovative ideas is desired.
-- Be a creative, strategic, and innovative thinker. Possess ability to develop ideas and follow through with implementation.
-- Be a critical thinker and make analytical-based decisions.
-- Demonstrated hands-on management, planning, and execution in communications and administration/operations.
-- Attention to detail with ability to handle multiple projects, multi-tasking.
-- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Statcrew and web-based content management systems.
