RICHMOND, Va. (May 9, 2012) - Georgia State senior Charlotte Lorentzen was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Year for the third consecutive season in a vote of the league's head coaches.

Also earning top honors from the conference were Georgia State's Lauren Court as CAA Rookie of the Year and UNCW's Cindy Ho as CAA Coach of the Year.

Lorentzen, who was a unanimous selection, is the first CAA women's golfer to earn Player of the Year honors three times in a career. She was also the CAA Rookie of the Year in 2009. The senior completed the regular season with a scoring average of 73.90 over 10 tournaments.  She earned medalist honors in four tournaments, including the CAA Championship, where she matched a three-day total low for the season with a 217 (75-69-73). Lorentzen also earned first-place finishes at the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic (75-69-74), Lady Paladin Invitational (77-74-71) and the Hurricane Invitational (74-73-72).  The senior carded a pair of seventh place finishes at the GolfWeek Conference Challenge and the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in the fall.

Court finished the regular season with a scoring average of 78.73 over 10 tournaments during her rookie campaign. She earned a pair of top 25 finishes, including her season-best finish at the CAA Championship where she was tied for 22nd. Court posted her best round of the year in the second stanza of the Sun Trust Gator Women's Invitational in March, posting a score of 72 and finishing with a season low 225 after three rounds. She finished among the top half of the field in six of her 10 tournaments.

Ho received CAA Women's Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive season and the third time in her career. She guided a Seahawks' squad which included three sophomores and two seniors to their second straight CAA Women's Golf Championship.
