WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Soccer America and Soccer Times have selected William & Mary sophomore forward Claire Zimmeck as their national Player of the Week, marking the third and fourth times this week she has been recognized on the national level. Previously, Top Drawer Soccer named her its Co-Player of the Week, while Soccer Buzz tabbed her to its Elite Team of the Week. Zimmeck also earned Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week accolades.

Zimmeck led the 16th-ranked Tribe (13-1-2, 7-0-1) to a perfect 3-0 record last week, as she totaled seven of the team’s eight goals, including all three game-winners. On the season, the Fairfax, Va., native is tied for the conference lead in goals (11), game-winners (five) and points (25). Additionally, her 0.79 goals per contest average ranks 16th in the nation.

On Tuesday, Zimmeck earned a hat trick in the 3-1 victory against James Madison. It was the second career three-goal match for Zimmeck, as she also accomplished the feat against Clemson last season. Against the Dukes, she fired a match-high five shots, all of which were on goal.

Zimmeck followed up that performance by tallying both of W&M’s scores in the 2-0 win versus Towson.

On Sunday, Zimmeck notched a pair of goals in the Tribe’s 3-2 win at George Mason. Additionally, she totaled a match-high six shots, four of which were on goal.
