RICHMOND, Va. (October 22, 2013) –William & Mary senior Rad Gunzenhauser has been named CAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time this season.

Gunzenhauser remained perfect this season, having won the weekly award each time he’s raced this fall. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native represented well at last weekend’s Pre-National Invitational meet, leading the way for William & Mary with a time of 24:42.6, good for 112th out of 300-plus runners.

The Tribe as a team beat nine higher-ranked foes and finished 31st of 52 squads at the 8K event in Terre Haute, Ind.

Other noteworthy performances included fellow Tribe member Trevor Sleight, who finished 138th overall and second for W&M with a time of 24:52.7. Hofstra senior Daniel Rono once again impressed for the Pride last weekend, placing 11th at the Penn State Nationals with a time of 27:03 on the 5.2-mile course, just 1:10 behind the winner.

The Tribe return to action on Nov. 2 for the CAA Championships in Towson, Md., where they will search for their 14th straight league title.
