RICHMOND, Va. (October 15, 2013) – For the second time this season, University of Delaware senior Lindsay Prettyman has been named CAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Prettyman once again led the Blue Hens individually, capturing a first-place finish at the UD Blue-Gold Invitational and guided her team to a first-place finish as well. She cruised through the 6K White Clay Creek State Park with a time of 22:29.51, finishing seven seconds ahead of the next closest competitor. Not only was it the third individual cross country title of Prettyman’s UD career, but it was also the 16th straight meet which she has paced the Blue Hens over the last three years. Fellow Blue Hens Emily Gispert (23:13) and Alyssa Kennedy (23:19) finished fourth, and fifth, respectively.

In other CAA women’s cross country news, Northeastern freshman Lucy Young set a personal best in the 5K New England Championships with a time of 17:58, good enough for a 16th place finish.
