CAA Women's Golf Honors - March 13
RICHMOND, Va. (March 13, 2013) - UNCW's Lori Beth Adams and
Xavier's Shane Crutchfield earned CAA Women's Golfer of the Week honors after
top five finishes last weekend at their respective tournaments.
Adams led the Seahawks and earned a fifth-place finish at
the JMU Eagle Landing Invitational with a 75-73-69-217 scorecard at the par 72,
6,282 yard Eagle Landing Course in Orange Park, Fla. Adams carded a career-low 69 in the final round to post her
third top-five finish of the season. The junior helped UNCW to a 12th
place finish at the tournament.
Crutchfield earned a career-best second place
finish at the Rio Verde Collegiate at the White Wing Golf Club in in Rio
Verde, Ariz. Crutchfield finished with a one-over-par 145 at the 6,215 yard
course and shot a career low 71 in the final round. The St. Petersburg, Fla.
native helped lead the Musketeers to an overall second
place finish.
