PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Tessa Ziemba • Hofstra

Sr., Center Fielder
Ziemba earned CAA Player of the
Week honors after leading Hofstra to a 4-1 record, including a 7-2 victory over
No. 5 Texas, at the Citrus Classic in Orlando last weekend. The senior center
fielder batted .385 going 7-for-19 at the plate. She also posted an .895
slugging percentage with three home runs with two coming in the victory against
the Longhorns. Ziemba struck out just once in her 19 at-bats on the week and
recorded eight RBI, while scoring five runs.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Olivia Galati • Hofstra
West Babylon, N.Y./St. John the
Baptist, Sr., Pitcher
Galati received the CAA Pitcher
of the Week award after earning a 4-1 record in five games for the Pride at the
Citrus Classic. The senior right-hander had a 0.68 ERA facing the Pride's
toughest competition this season. Galati finished a complete game victory
against No. 5 Texas and finished the week holding opposing batters to a .188
batting average through 31 innings of work over the weekend. The senior fanned
33 batters, while walking just four.
ROOKIES OF THE WEEK:
Taylor Anderson • Georgia
State
McDonough, Ga./Ola H.S., Fr.,
Shortstop
Anderson picked up CAA Rookie of
the Week honors after helping GSU to a 6-1 week, including a 4-1 mark at the
USF Under Armor Classic in Tampa, Fla. Anderson started all but one game at
shortstop for the Panthers, while hitting .417 with 10 hits including two
doubles and a pair of triples. She tabbed five RBI and five walks during the
week.
Julia Czarnecki • George
Mason
Clayton, Calif./Carondelet, Fr.,
Outfielder
Czarnecki collected the CAA Rookie of the Week award after batting .500
with eight hits in 16 at-bats, and helping Mason to a 4-2 record in its own
Patriot Classic. The freshman outfielder scored six runs for Mason and tallied
a double, three RBI, three stolen bases, and drew three walks while only
striking out once.
