Altomare
earns Player of the Week honors after leading the Pride with 11 points on six
goals and five assists in two games. Altomare got the week started with a
stellar seven-point effort at Marist (tying her career high), notching four
goals and three assists in the 14-8 win. Against top-ranked Maryland, Altomare
showed her talent level once again as she posted four points on two goals and
two assists against the Terps.

Ancarrow
picks up Player of the Week honors after leading JMU to two victories last
week. The senior scored a game-high five goals on six shots, while tallying a
game-high four draw controls in the Dukes' 9-8 victory at Virginia Tech last
Wednesday. The Jarrettsville, Md. native
added three goals and an assist for a game-high four points with two ground
balls and two draw controls in JMU's 13-8 win against Fairfield on Saturday.
ROOKIE OF
THE WEEK:

Dattellas
earns her second consecutive Rookie of the Week honor after a career day last
Saturday. Dattellas tallied a career-high two goals on three shots and three
caused turnovers at La Salle. The Camillus, N.Y. native also added two ground
balls while causing three turnovers.
Conference notes
Towson senior Kelly Custer scored a career-high four goals
in the Tigers' 11-8 win over UMBC.
Delaware's Caitlin McCartney is the first Blue Hen player
to start the season with four straight hat tricks since All-American Missy
Meharg in 1985.
William & Mary scored a season high 21 goals Saturday
at Stetson. The 21-3 victory was also the Tribe's largest margin of victory
since 2007. Sophomore attacker Kaleigh Noon led W&M with five goals.
Drexel won its fourth straight game Saturday at Saint
Joseph's. It was also the fourth straight Dragons' victory over a
Philadelphia-area school.
ODU won the first CAA game of the season last Tuesday,
beating William & Mary 15-9. Sophomore Ashmore Standing led the Monarchs
with a career-high five goals.
George Mason picked up its first win of the season
Saturday with a 12-8 victory against Bucknell. Rachel Obregon recorded her
second hat trick of the season.
JMU senior attacker Casey Ancarrow moved from 14th to
ninth on JMU's career goals list (130), passing her coach Shelley
Klaes-Bawcombe in the process. She also moved from 13th to 11th on the career
points list (180).
Hofstra tied its best start to a season in program history
after it improved to 4-0 Wednesday night with a 14-8 win at Marist.
Towson was ranked at No. 16 in the
week one IWLA Coaches Association Top 20 Poll. Drexel and James Madison were
just outside the top 20, receiving votes from various coaches. Towson sits at
1-3 this season with a victory at UMBC and close losses to #5 North Carolina,
#15 Georgetown, and #7 Loyola. Drexel and JMU both are undefeated on the season
with the Dragons at 4-0 and the Dukes at 3-0.
James Madison's Casey Ancarrow and
Towson's Alexa Demski are among 50 players named to the watch list for the 2013
Tewaaraton Trophy, given to the nation's top college lacrosse player. The
Tewaaraton Trophy is presented annually following the collegiate season to the
top female and male varsity collegiate lacrosse players in the United States. Tewaaraton is the name the Mohawk Indian
nation gave to its game, the forerunner of present-day lacrosse. This annual
watch list is made up of the top players across all three NCAA divisions of collegiate competition.
