Mason?s Flournoy Named CAA Wrestler of Week, ODU?s Mecate Tabbed as CAA Rookie of Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Greg Flournoy of George Mason University is the Colonial Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week for all competition February 12-18. Chris Mecate of Old Dominion University is the CAA Rookie of the Week.

Flournoy, a red-shirt freshman from Washington, VA (Fauquier), upset the second ranked 149 in the CAA and the 30^th ranked 149 in the nation from Old Dominion by a 5-1 score.

Unranked in the CAA, Flournoy collected his second CAA win and his 13^th overall victory.

Mecate, a freshman 141 from Highland, Calif. (Redlands East Valley), won a CAA dual against George Mason to remain undefeated (4-0) in the CAA. His eight-match winning streak brings his record to 33-8 and is ranked 14^th by Amateur Wrestling News, 16^th by InterMat.
