RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 8, 2013) - Towson

and Diver of the Week following strong performances in the Tigers' dual meet
against Howard last weekend. Towson's Amanda Skroupa and JMU's Kimberly
Helfrich were tabbed as the CAA Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week.
McKenney earned the first men's swimmer of
the week honor of 2013 after picking up three individual victories last
weekend. He posted a win in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:42.84 while
capturing first place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.63. McKenney

his fourth diver of the week honor of the season after winning both diving
events this past weekend against the Bison. He tallied 243.68 points to pick up
the victory in the three-meter dive, and 277.58 points in the one-meter dive,
his highest score recorded in the event this season. Both McKenney and Cohen
were key cogs in helping Towson defeat Howard 206-64.

swimmer of the week award this season after posting two individual victories
against Howard last weekend. She swam a 24.15 in the 50 free and a 58.03 in the
100 butterfly to earn first place in both events. Skroupa also swam a leg in
the 200 and 400 medley relays, helping her team to two first-place finishes.
She was a key component in the Tigers' 215-53 victory over the Lady Bison.
Helfrich continued her outstanding senior
season on the boards with a strong showing at the highly-competitive Tennessee
Diving Invitational last week. Helfrich finished 16th out of 51 in
the three-meter dive with a score of 263.05. She followed that up on the second
day posting a score of 274.60 on the one-meter board, good enough for seventh
place. This is Helfrich's sixth diver of the week selection this season.
