CAA
4-1-1:
• Drexel, Hofstra, James Madison, Northeastern
and Old Dominion earned victories in the first conference outings of the year
on Jan. 6. Delaware was the only team not to start conference action.
• The 11 league members have posted a 64-60
record in the season as they wrapped up non-conference play.
• Elena Delle Donne, who missed six of the first
seven UD games due to illness, returned to the court on Dec. 20. She has
averaged 22.3 ppg/10.3 rpg since her return. She sank the game-winner in
overtime against St. John's on Jan. 2 and finished with 29.
• The most recent RPIRatings.com report posted
that the CAA was ranked 16th among the 33 conferences with Delaware ranked at 34
leading the CAA.
• The College of Charleston has accepted an
invitation of membership to join the CAA beginning July 2013.
• The CAA Women's Basketball Championship will
return to the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland in 2013 for the
third straight season.

Burkholder was
awarded CAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors after helping the
Dukes to a 2-0 week, including opening conference play 1-0. The junior guard
posted a career-high 27 points against Georgia Southern to open the week,
shooting 75.0 percent (9-12), while finishing the week averaging 21.0 ppg. She
also averaged 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game.
Burkholder shot 60.9 percent from the floor in the two outings, while going 50
percent from long range and 83.3 percent from the free throw line.

Mark was named CAA
Women's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Huskies in back-to-back
wins in scoring while averaging 18.0 points per game. The sophomore poured in a
career-high 19 points in NU's win over Rhode Island followed by a 17-point
performance against George Mason to open CAA action. Mark added 3.5 rebounds,
2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game on the week to go along with 18.0 ppg. Mark
has helped the Huskies to an eight game winning streak at home, which dates
back to last season.

Goodhope collected
CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 14.5 points
per game for ODU, including a career-high 21 points against Georgia State in CAA
action. The freshman shot 54.5 percent from the floor against the Panthers and
90.0 percent from the free throw line. Goodhope finished the week shooting 42.9
percent (9-21) from the floor and 71.4 percent (10-14) from the line on the
week to go along with 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
Asia Jackson •

Peekskill,
N.Y./Peekskill, Fr., Guard
Jackson earned CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
accolades after helping the Pride to a 2-0 week with wins over Norfolk State and
William & Mary at home. The rookie posted a career-high 20 points to go
along with personal bests of five assists and seven rebounds against NSU.
Jackson finished the week averaging 13.5 ppg and shot 47.6 percent (10-21) from
the floor for Hofstra to go along with four rebounds.
