PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:

Cannon earns CAA Women's Basketball Player
of the Week after leading the Huskies to a 2-0 record last week with victories
over Darmouth and NJIT. The senior led the team in scoring in both outings and
grabbed a career-best three steals in the win on the road against NJIT. Cannon
averaged a team-high 17.5 points per game on 53.8 percent shooting (14-of-26)
from the floor and 46.7 percent shooting (7-for-15) from long range. She also
added four rebounds for Northeastern to go along with five steals.
Rahneeka Saunders • George Mason

Saunders collected CAA Women's Basketball
Player of the Week after helping the Patriots secure the home victory over UAB,
giving the Blazers just their second loss of the season. The senior guard
scored a team-high 16 points in the win. She went 9-for-10 from the free throw
line, including a pivotal 7-for-8 over the final three minutes that tied the
score for the fourth and fifth times and gave Mason the final lead. Saunders
scored 10 of Mason's final 11 points to seal the 58-55 victory. The win kept
Mason undefeated at home with a 3-0 record this season. She finished the game
going 3-for-5 from the field with a single three-pointer and added three
assists, two rebounds and a steal.

was named CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week after helping the Dragons
to a 2-1 week, earning the TD Bank Classic and individually being named to the
All-Tournament team. The freshman starter averaged 9.7 points per game on the
week, including a career-high 14 points against Vermont as she hit 4-for-4 from
three-point land. Creighton shot 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from the field, with
all but one shot coming from long range. She also went 8-for-8 from the free
throw line on the week. The rookie finished the week pulling down nine
rebounds, dishing out nine assists to go along with a block and a steal.
