CAA Volleyball Offensive
Player of the Week:
Lana Zonjic, Jr., OH,
George Mason
Zonjic picks up her second Offensive Player of the Week
award after recording a career high 24 kills in the Patriots' 3-2 win over
James Madison last Friday. Zonjic hit .268 while averaging 4.8 kills per set.
She also was a factor defensively adding 19 digs (3.8 digs per set). Zonjic ranks
second in the CAA with 3.64 kills per set and 313 total kills.
CAA Volleyball Defensive
Player of the Week:
Natalia Skiba, So.,
L, Northeastern
Skiba picked up 26 digs to help lead Northeastern to a
thrilling 3-2 victory at William & Mary last Friday. It was her third-highest
match total this season as she finished with an average of 5.20 digs per set
while adding three assists. Skiba ranks second in the CAA in total digs (464)
and digs per set (5.46).
CAA Volleyball Rookie
of the Week:
Dessi Koleva, Fr.,
MB, William & Mary
Koleva picks up her fourth Rookie of
the Week award after posting a strong effort Friday night despite the Tribe
falling 3-2 to Northeastern. She recorded a career high 17 kills to go along
with 12 digs and five blocks. She also finished with a .289 hitting percentage
while adding four assists. Koleva ranks second on the team with 185 kills and
2.31 kills per set while ranking third on the team in digs with 197.

Notes
Towson
ran its winning streak to 16 matches following a 3-0 win over Georgia State
last Sunday.
William
& Mary freshman Dessi Koleva recorded a career-best 17 kills in the Tribe's
3-2 loss to Northeastern Friday night.
Towson's
Aubrey Kirven finished with 48 assists (16.00 assists per set) in the Tigers'
win over GSU on Sunday.
Northeastern's
Nicole Bishop tallied a career-best 18 kills Friday night in the Huskies' 3-2
win over William & Mary.
Hofstra's
Nikki Kinnier moved into a tie for eighth place on the school's all-time kills
list following a 12-kill effort in the Pride's 3-0 win over UNCW last Saturday.
Kinnier hit .750 in the match.
George
Mason's Lana Zonjic set a new career high with 24 kills in the Patriots' 3-2
win over JMU last Friday.
Delaware's
Ariel Shonk posted 23 digs in the Blue Hens' 3-1 victory over Georgia State
last Friday. It's the 12th time this season the freshman libero has reached the
20-dig mark.
Delaware's
Mackenzie Olsen reached the 50 assists mark for the third time this season
after tallying 55 in UD's 3-1 victory over GSU. It was also her career-high for
a match under five sets.
Towson
clinched the No. 1 seed for the upcoming CAA Volleyball Championship following
its 3-0 win over Georgia State Sunday afternoon. As a result of earning the top
seed, Towson will host the championship on its home court in the Towson Center.
It is the first time since 2004 that the Tigers have hosted the championship.
