Xavier?s McNair Honored as CAA Women?s Golfer of the Week ? Oct. 24
RICHMOND, Va. (October 24, 2012) - Xavier
junior Ariel McNair was named CAA Women's Golfer of the Week after posting a
career-low finish at the FedEx Memphis Women's Intercollegiate.
McNair earned a tie for sixth place at
the tournament shooting 74-79-74-227 (+14) at the 71 par, 6,150-yard Ridgeway
Country Club in Germantown, Tenn. The junior opened the tournament in second
place after the first round and tied a career-low 74 in the first and final
rounds. McNair's tie for sixth is her
first career top-10 finish. The Aurora, Ohio native led Xavier to a second
place team finish.
