Drexel?s Crawford Named CAA Men?s Golfer of the Week ? Oct. 3
RICHMOND, Va. (October 3, 2012) - Drexel
freshman Christopher Crawford received CAA Men's Golf Weekly honors after posting
a top 10 finish at the CHAMP/Patriot Intercollegiate.
The rookie shot
1-over in the three-day event held at the 6,857-yard, par 71 Laurel Hill Golf
Course in Lorton, Va. Crawford shot 74-73-67-214 (+1) to earn a tie for eighth
place amongst the individuals. The freshman tied a tournament low (67) in his final
round with three others who scored 67 in a single round of the tournament.
Crawford finished fourth in par-3 scoring, eighth in par-4 scoring and tied for
second in pars with 38. In his rookie campaign thus far, Crawford is leading
the Dragons with a 72.17 scoring average and has earned three top 10 finishes,
two top 5 honors and won a tournament. Crawford
led the Dragons to an 11
th-place team finish, in which Hofstra (4

Delaware (5
th), James Madison (6
th), Towson (7
th)
and host George Mason (10
th) also participated in.
