Hockey Player of the Week:
Amanda Fleischut, Sr., Midfielder, Drexel
Fleischut led the
Dragons last weekend with an assist and two goals including the game-winner in
the 79th minute of play to help the Dragons upset No. 15 New Hampshire, 3-2, in
overtime. The senior captain also tallied a goal in Friday night's 3-1 win over
Towson. She leads the team's offense with six goals, along with two
game-winners, and five assists for 17 total points. Fleischut ranks fourth in
the CAA in goals, assists, and points.

Hockey Rookie of the Week:
Pip Saunders, Fr., Forward/Midfielder, William
& Mary
Saunders scored a
goal and registered
an assist to help the Tribe finish 1-1 last weekend. She assisted teammate Emma
Clifton's first goal in the Tribe's 4-0 victory Friday against Delaware. Sunday
at Richmond, she scored the team's lone goal in 13th minute, tying the score at
1-1 at the time. Saunders is tied for second on the team with three assists,
while scoring three goals and registering nine points this season.

Four
CAA schools are ranked in this week's NFHCA Top 25 national poll (Northeastern
- 8, Old Dominion- 10, Drexel- 18, William & Mary - 21).
William
& Mary is averaging a program-record 8.42 points and 2.75 assists per game
this season. The Tribe's 1.08 GAA is also the best mark since 1980.
Old
Dominion is currently riding a five-game winning streak, the longest active
streak in the CAA.
Following
its 5-1 victory on Friday, ODU improved to 31-0 all-time against non-conference
foe Richmond.
Drexel
recorded its third overtime win of the season Sunday afternoon in a 3-2 victory
over No. 15 New Hampshire. The win also marked the third victory for the
Dragons over a ranked opponent this season (No. 5 Duke and No. 22 California).
Northeastern forward Crystal Poland has registered
35 points (16g, 3a) this season for the Huskies. Her 3.5 points per game are
good enough for third in the nation, while her 1.6 goals per game are the
second-highest total in the NCAA this year. Poland is one goal away and 12
points away from tying Northeastern's all-time program record for career goals
and career points, respectively.
