FACCHINE AND BALL EARN CAA WOMEN?S SWIMMER AND DIVER WEEKLY AWARD

RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 31, 2012) - Delaware's Hannah Facchine and Towson's Jeanne Ball have earned CAA Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards.


Facchine helped the Blue Hens defeat Widener, 194-64, and posted two wins in a losing effort against William & Mary, 177-85. For the week the senior was a part of wins including the 100 breaststroke (1:06.07) and 200 breaststroke (2:23.14) and 400 freestyle relay (3:37.16) against Widener. In the William & Mary meet, Facchine won the 100 breaststroke (1:05.41) and 200 breaststroke (2:22.12) and was second in the 200 medley relay (1:47.90).

Ball's Towson squad had an excellent week, sweeping Johns Hopkins (172-117) and Old Dominion (182-118). The senior posted a first place finish in the 3-meter with a mark of 280.20 and a second place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 265.49 against ODU.
