RICHMOND, Va. (May 18, 2011) - Georgia State junior Charlotte Lorentzen was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Year for the second consecutive season in a vote of the league's head coaches.

Also earning top honors from the conference were James Madison's freshman Ginger Mak as CAA Rookie of the Year and UNC Wilmington's Cindy Ho as CAA Coach of the Year.

Lorentzen completed the season with a scoring average of 74.90 over 10 tournaments. She posted eight top-20 finishes during the 2010-11 season, including three top three honors. Lorentzen was runner-up at the Lady Paladin Intercollegiate after carding 73-76-74-233 (+2), which came after losing on the second hole of a sudden-death shootout for medalist honors for her best outing of the season. She fired a record-setting and career-best 6-under 64 in the second round of the SunTrust Gator Women's Invitational helping her to a third place finish. Lorentzen also recorded a second place finish in the William K. Warren Irish Invite carding her fall low of 218.

Mak finished the CAA Championship in third place after shooting 77-73-74-224 (+2) for one of her best outings of the season. The rookie posted five top-20 finishes on the year.  Mak posted a strong showing in the tough Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship during the fall with her three-round best mark of 222, finishing 2-over par. The freshman shot a career-low 73 three times this season, during the opening rounds of the Mercedes-Benz Championship, and the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate and during the final round of the Lady Paladin.  She wrapped up the season with a scoring average of 76.20 over nine tournaments.

Ho received CAA Women's Coach of the Year honors for the second time in her career. She guided the Seahawks, which included three freshmen and two veterans, in a third-round rally during the CAA Championship to capture the team's third crown in five seasons and sixth conference title in program history. The Seahawks posted seven top-15 finishes and finished among the top-17 in all 10 tournaments.
