TIGER BASKETBALL TEAMS HOLD CLINIC FOR COMMUNITY YOUTH
TOWSON, Md. (Jan. 18, 2011) - The Tiger men's and women's basketball teams took time out
of their busy schedule to participate in a clinic for the community on Friday. Both teams along with Head coaches Pat Kennedy and Joe
Mathews spent an hour working with 225 kids from the surrounding community.
Each child in attendance spent
time with a player or a coach getting instructions on things such as dribbling,
free throw shooting and lay-ups. Skill level didn't matter as part of the
clinic; it was more about learning and having a good time on the court.
Following the instructional
clinic, there was a Meet'N'Greet with the teams. The first 100 kids in
attendance received a free t-shirt and all attendees received a free ticket
voucher for the Tiger basketball games later that weekend.
