GSU FOOTBALL HOSTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS AT PRACTICE
ATLANTA - Members of the Georgia State football team took time on
their day off from practice to give back to their community, spending Monday
morning with the students of nearby Cook Elementary School.
Cook Elementary is located just across the street from
the Panthers' practice facility on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The students
enjoyed a few hours of physical activity with the Panthers, learning the
importance of a healthy, active lifestyle. The Panthers also talked to the
young people about the importance of working hard in school, listening to
teachers and coaches, and making good choices.
"It's great to be out here working with kids and
giving back to our community," said redshirt freshman linebacker Mark Hogan.
"We are trying to be role models to these young people, teaching them
about being healthy and active . We also talked to them about working hard and
doing well in school."
