THREE CAA MEN?S CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS EARN USTFCCCA PRESEASON REGIONAL RANKINGS

RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 1, 2010) - Three CAA men's cross country squads - Delaware, George Mason and William & Mary - received preseason regional rankings from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced by the organization on Monday. The Tribe also enters the season tied with Texas for the 28th spot in the USTFCCCA Preseason Cross Country National Coaches' Poll.

After finishing atop the Southeast Region a year ago, William & Mary opens the 2010 season ranked fifth. George Mason enters the year ranked ninth, one spot higher than its 10th-place finish in the Southeast Region last season. The Delaware men begin their season slate ranked 13th in the Mid Atlantic Region, the same place that they finished in 2009.

On the women's side, James Madison garnered the highest preseason regional ranking of any conference squad. The Dukes are ranked eighth in the Southeast Region after finishing 2009 in the sixth slot. George Mason and William & Mary also received preseason nods in the Southeast Region, as the two programs are ranked No. 12 and No. 14, respectively. Delaware opens 2010 action ranked 11th in the Mid Atlantic Region after finishing eighth in the region a year ago.
