TIGERS AND UNIVERSITY STORE SHARE EXHIBIT AT TOWSONTOWN FESTIVAL
TOWSON, Md. - The
Towson University Department of Athletics and the University Store have
partnered and will present a combined exhibit at the 43rd annual
Towsontown Spring Festival, scheduled for May 1-2.
The
Tigers will have their Tiger Toss inflatable at the Towsontown Spring Festival
and fans will have the opportunity to purchase Tiger football season tickets on
site.
A
number of Tiger football players are also scheduled to appear at the festival.
They will be on hand to sign autographs and distribute schedule cards to the
fans.
The
University Store will be selling Towson apparel at a special price during the
festival. Towson sweatshirts will be on sale for $20 while tee-shirts for
adults and kids can be purchased for $10 each. For those customers who purchase
Tiger football season tickets at the festival, sweatshirts and tee-shirts can
be purchased for half-price ($10 for sweatshirts and $5 for tee-shirts).
The
Towsontown Spring Festival started 43 years ago as the Towsontown Art Exhibit.
It was held in the Baltimore County Courtyard. It has grown to the point where
it occupies ten blocks of downtown Towson. The Towsontown Spring Festival is
located along Washington Avenue between Allegheny and Susquehanna Avenues.
Last
year, it was estimated that more than 300,000 people attended the Towsontown
Spring Festival over the course of its two-day run. Over 450 vendors will
participate, including restaurants, food vendors, artists and craftsmen. There
will also be an interactive play area for children and live entertainment.
The
Towsontown Spring Festival will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday,
May 1. On Sunday, May 2, the festival will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
