CAA PAIRINGS SET FOR 2010 VIRGINIA 529 COLLEGE SAVINGS PLAN CAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

RICHMOND, Va. (March 3, 2010) - The pairings are set for the 2010 Virginia 529 College Savings Plan CAA Women's Basketball Championship, which will be held March 11-14 at the James Madison University Convocation Center in Harrisonburg, Va.

First round action tips off at Noon on Thursday as #8 Northeastern takes on #9 Georgia State.  At 2:30 p.m., #5 Delaware meets #12 George Mason.  Beginning at 5 p.m., #7 Towson will play #10 UNC Wilmington, followed by #6 Hofstra versus #11 William & Mary at 7:30 p.m.

In Friday's quarterfinals, top-seeded Old Dominion will face the Northeastern/Georgia State winner at Noon, while #4 Drexel takes on the Delaware/George Mason victor at 2:30 p.m. In the 5 p.m. contest, host #2 James Madison goes against the Towson/UNC Wilmington winner, before #3 VCU plays the Hofstra/William & Mary victor.

The semifinals are set for Noon and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the championship game taking place at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 14.

All 11 games of the CAA Women's Basketball Championship will be available via various multimedia platforms.  Thursday's first-round games and Friday's quarterfinal contests will be webstreamed on CAASports.com.  Both semifinal games on Saturday will be televised by The Comcast Network and other CAA television affiliates.
