RICHMOND, Va. (February 2, 2010) - Towson's Devin Kirby has been named the CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week following his performance against Johns Hopkins last weekend.

Kirby posted the CAA's fastest time of the season in the 50 freestyle as he hit the wall in 20.65 seconds, one-hundredth-of-a-second faster than the two previous leaders. He later added a win in the 100 free, clocking a time of 46.80 seconds, just .05 off his season's best.

In other swimming action, Delaware's Grady Carter placed first in five events throughout the Blue Hens' two meets. Individually, Carter took the 50 free in both meets (21.16 vs. Widener, 21.14 vs. UMBC/William & Mary) and placed first in the 100 breast against Widener. He was also the anchor leg of the winning 200 medley relay team in both meets.

William & Mary's Stephen Fay earned two individual wins last weekend, winning the 500 free against UMBC in a time of 4:45.62 and the 1,000 free against Delaware with a time of 9:54.41.

Old Dominion's meet at Navy and UNC Wilmington's meet against East Carolina were canceled due to the inclement weather and there are no plans to reschedule.

This Saturday, Drexel will host the Drexel Diving Invitational in Philadelphia.
