Four CAA women's soccer players have received All-America honors from the NSCAA for their outstanding play in 2008. William & Mary senior forward Claire Zimmeck was named to the All-America second team, while James Madison junior forward Corky Julien, William & Mary senior midfielder Dani Collins and Northeastern freshman forward Veronica Napoli made the third team.

Zimmeck became the seventh player in Tribe history to be selected as an All-American for three consecutive seasons. The senior forward, who was one of 15 semifinalists for the Hermann Trophy as the nation's top player, led the Tribe with 15 goals and six assists this season. Zimmeck finished her career with 57 goals, 12 assists and a school-record 25 game-winning goals.

Julien was the first JMU player to ever receive CAA Player of the Year honors in 2008. The forward led the Dukes with 16 goals and 33 points, which were the most-ever in a season by a Dukes' junior. Julien set a school record by scoring a goal in nine consecutive matches this fall.

Collins made the NSCAA All-America third team for the second year in a row. The senior midfielder set career-highs this season for goals (4), assists (6), points (14) and game-winning goals (3). Collins is the eighth player in W&M history to be named All-America twice in a career.

Napoli was one of only six freshmen to be recognized by the NSCAA as an All-American. The Huskies' forward, who was the CAA Rookie of the Year, contributed 12 goals and five assists to help lead Northeastern to the CAA title.

The NSCAA also recognized 12 CAA players on their various All-Region squads, with seven of them earning first-team honors. In the Mid-Atlantic region, Collins, Julien and Zimmeck were joined by Old Dominion senior forward Katie Watson (12g, 9a) on the first team. Selected to the Mid-Atlantic region second team were JMU junior defender Teri Maykoski (3g, 0a) and JMU senior midfielder Kim Germain (2g, 4a).

Joining Napoli on the All-Northeast region first team were Hofstra senior defender Jess Crankshaw (2g, 3a) and Hofstra sophomore midfielder Tiffany Yovino (5g, 4a). Hofstra senior defender Marie Curtin (2g, 5a) made the Northeast region second team and Pride senior forward Edel Malone (1g, 6a) was chosen to the third team.

In the Southeast region, UNC Wilmington senior defender Kelly Renkin (6g, 3a) made the second team.
